Dr. Hahn's Exit...

A fantastic episode of Grey's Anatomy was marred by the knowledge that the shot of Dr. Erica Hahn walking away from Callie Torres would be the last time we see her. Allegedly.

A wide open story, 150% unresolved. It was one of the better stories and one of the most interesting relationships and as of now it's over. Simply because the suits at ABC decided they wanted to wipe the gay stories from the show.

Shocking. Outrageous. Insulting.

For fans of Grey's, this is unacceptable. Hahn was one of my favorite characters and she has had some of the best moments of the season so far. It's really infuriating to see her character dropped this way.

Shonda Rhimes should have fought for the integrity of her show instead of buckling. The show deserves better, the fans deserve better, and Brooke Smith CERTAINLY deserves better.

I wouldn't be surprised if ABC dangled the possiblity of canceling Private Practice over Rhimes' head if she didn't comply.

I can only hope Brooke Smith lands a gig worthy of her talents. She will be gravely missed from Grey's Anatomy.

As for ABC? In my book, their reputation has fallen considerably.
