This is going to be a reasonably short review. There just isn't much here to write about so let's get to it.
Seth MacFarlane's Cavalcade of Cartoon Comedy: Uncensored! is 54 minutes of cartoon shorts. Most are very funny, a few are outright hilarious, and a couple are duds. It's offensive, awful, funny, confusing, horrifying, and embarrassing all rolled into one neat little package.
It's an hour of cartoons done in the familiar Family Guy style of animation. This is basically the cut scenes from that show without the rest of the show and none of the characters. So if you go for that kind of humor, then this is definitely your bag. That humor is ratcheted up a few notches though.
I'm not quite sure why there is a Blu-ray release of this. The cartoons are not in high def. It seems a bit like a waste to release this on the format at all. There are no exclusive features, nothing special about the release, and only two bonus features, neither of which is too terribly interesting.
The strength of this release is in the cartoons themselves and they do succeed for the most part. I wouldn't recommend dropping $15 or $20 on this. $10 tops considering we're getting less than an hour of animation here. Sure it's hilarious stuff but in these tough times the value is just not there.
Seth MacFarlane's Cavalcade of Cartoon Comedy: Uncensored! is available on DVD and Blu-ray now.
What exactly is a Cavalcade anyway?
