Avengers Assemble for Joss Whedon!

All signs are pointing to the all mighty Joss Whedon taking the reins on the mega film The Avengers! 

While I'd honestly prefer Marvel turn the X-Men franchise to his masterful control, The Avengers is the next best thing.

I can say this will pretty much ensure that the movie isn't a pile of garbage, especially since Joss will be reworking Zak Penn's current draft.

Expect The Avengers to arrive in theaters in May 2012.

On a sadder note, this probably will dash any hopes of a new Whedonverse show or film for the foreseeable future.
