It has been one of the most requested television series DVD releases since pretty much they started releases shows on DVD and it has finally arrived.
Daria: The Complete Animated Series
includes all five seasons of the hit MTV show, plus the two movies Is It Fall Yet?
and Is It College Yet?
and a few special features to throw into the mix.The features include the Pilot Episode, "Sealed With a Kick". Mystik Spiral Music Video "Freakin' Friends", Daria Day Intros, Top Ten Video Countdown Hosted by Daria & Jane, Never-Before-Seen Mystik Spiral Spin-off Script, and Cast and Crew Interviews.
The show holds up extremely well, in fact, even more so since I'm older and can appreciate it better. I actually enjoy the show more now than I did when it first aired. It's hilarious, smart, and most importantly still relevant.
Nearly all of the music has been replaced due to rights issues but to be honest, I didn't even notice the difference. It's a great set with some great features that will satisfy even the most picky of Daria
fans.The comedy holds up, the animation style still rings true, and with the exception of one episode (the weird Holiday Island one), I've loved every second of revisiting Daria
