It will shock no one when I say that if ever I'm asked to name the best sitcoms in history Golden Girls
is often the first one I name.This is no doubt due to the four amazing women who made up its cast.
We've lost Sophia, we've lost Dorothy and today, we say farewell to Blanche Devereaux.
Rue McClanahan passed away at the age of only 76 after suffering a stroke. She was surrounded by friends and family.
She has been acting since the 50's and has made me life pretty much my entire life, first when I watched her on Mama's Family
, and then her Emmy-winning role on Golden Girls.Our thoughts go out to her family, to her friends, and to her fans which I am proud to call myself.
So long Rue. Give our best to Estelle and Bea.
