PS3 to Get Trio of Paint Jobs

Sony has lifted the lid off a new coat of paint for a triumvirate of new 'Liminted Edition' Playstation 3's set to drop in the electronics behemoth's homeland of Japan. The most interesting (read: prettiest) of the three 320GB consoles lands in the Final Fantasy XIII-2 Lighting Edition Ver.2 (pictured above) flavor timed to coincide with the release of the Square Enix sequel of the same name. Sony wasn't done yet though, also announced are two 320GB consoles coming to Japan in the wonderful flavors of Splash Blue and Scarlet Red (pictured below). These consoles come with similarly lavish colored DuelShock3 controllers.

At this time pricing and availability has only been announced for Japan (and the Final Fantasy version is likely to stay that way). For those of you wondering the bright colors will ring up at ¥29980 ($390) and the Lighting Edition at ¥37960 ($494). So If your interested either wait for North American announcements our get to importing your new expensive Playstations.
