Music Review: Paul McCartney & Wings - "Wings Over America" CD Reissue

Concord Music Group continues it's "Paul McCartney Archive Collection" reissues with the Sir Paul's first LIVE album... "Wings Over America."

"Wings Over America" was originally released in December 1976 as a then unheard of triple album set.  The album didn't appear on compact disc until 1984 and now 29 years later it has finally been given the deluxe treatment it deserves.

The current Concord release is available in multiple formats:

- 2 CD Standard Edition
- 3 CD + DVD Deluxe Edition
- 3 LP Vinyl Edition

All editions feature newly remastered audio and the 3 CD set includes a bonus disc which includes 8 previously unreleased performances recorded LIVE at the Cow Palace in San Francisco, a DVD of the original TV Special "Wings Over The World," a 112 page book written by David Fricke and much, much more!

"Wings Over America" finds McCartney rocking like never before with his post Beatles band Wings.  Backed by his wife Linda on keyboards, Denny Laine on guitars and bass, Jim McCulloch on guitar and Joe English on drums the band plays songs from every era of McCartney's career.

From solo hits like "Maybe I'm Amazed" to Wings favorites such as "Band On The Run" and "Silly Love Songs" plus 5 Beatles classics and a Paul Simon cover "Wings Over America" has something to please any McCartney fan.

If you were too young to see Wings LIVE in concert this is an audio time capsule worth owning.

Drumroll please...  8 out of 10 drumsticks!!!
