RIP Marcia Wallace

Legendary comedic actress Marcia Wallace has died at the age of 70 due to complications from Breast Cancer.  Wallace is probably best known today as the voice of Bart Simpson's teacher Edna Krabappel on The Simpsons.  She was also known for her scene-stealing role as Carol the receptionist on The Bob Newhart Show.

I had the pleasure of seeing her appear on a live version of Match Game here in Los Angeles a few  years back.  Such a sweet and funny woman.

She will be missed.  Our thoughts and condolences go out to her friends and family.

RIP Eileen Brennan

Emmy winner Eileen Brennan has passed away today due to bladder cancer.  She was 80 years old.  She was a long time TV and film actresses scoring roles in The Sting, Private Benjamin (the TV version in which she won her Emmy), Will and Grace and more.

I know her best from her hilarious turn as Mrs. Peacock from the classic comedy, Clue: The Movie.  Her's is a talent that will be missed.

BREAKING: James Gandolfini Dead at 51

 

Truly shocking news.  Several news outlets (Variety, Deadline) are reporting that 51 Year Old Sopranos actor James Gandolfini has passed away.  He was on vacation and has apparently suffered either a heart attack or a stroke.  The reports are conflicting on that exact information.

Our hearts and thoughts go out to Mr. Gandolfini's family and friends.  He was a great talent.  He will be missed.

RIP Donna Summer

Donna Summer, disco legend responsible for such hits as On The Radio and Last Dance, has passed away at the age of 63.  She had reportedly been battling cancer.

Breaking: Davy Jones, Lead Singer of The Monkees, Dead at 66

Reports are saying that Davy Jones died of a heart attack this morning in Florida at the age of 66.  He leaves behind a wife and four daughters.

Our thoughts go out to his family and friends, as well as the legion of fans The Monkees have to this day.

SkyNews is reporting 27 Year old singer Amy Winehouse has been found dead in her London apartment.

She just recently checked out of a treatment center in June.

The Jackass crew has lost one of its funniest and most charming members today.

34 year old Ryan Dunn died in a car crash in Pennsylvania.
