Tuesday, October 30, marks the release of the near complete Twin Peaks
DVD Set: Twin Peaks: Definitive Gold Box Edition from CBS Home Entertainment and Paramount Home Entertainment.
The set features the complete seasons one and two, all 29 episodes including both the American and European versions of the Pilot episode. The 10-disc set will feature tons of great extras for fans of the show including the cast and crew interviews, rare never before released on DVD footage, "Greetings from Twin Peaks" collectible postcards, and a selection of deleted scenes once believed lost forever. These scenes were unearthed and approved by series creator David Lynch and give additional clues and background on some favorite characters and locations from the show.
Also included are the monologue and sketches from Saturday Night Live featuring Kyle MacLachlan and the music video for "Falling" by Julee Cruise. There is a lot more the set offers. I had heard before that the movie would be included with this set but there is no mention of it in the press release so I am not positive on that. However, you can find the movie here if you want to pick it up.
You can get the Twin Peaks Definitive Gold Box Edition in stores on 10/30. SRP is $108.99 but you can preorder now from the Pop Culture Beast store for $64.99 with free shipping.
