They Live, the John Carpenter classic about aliens only detectable via special sunglasses, and Romancing The Stone, Michael Douglas, Danny DeVito and Kathleen Turner adventure film, are the latest movies to hit the remake block. Both great movies, both far too recent to be remade if you ask me.
They join the likes of Red Dawn, Flashdance, Clash of the Titans, Robocop, A Nightmare on Elm Street, The Karate Kid, Weird Science, Arthur, Footloose, Adventures in Babysitting, Flashdance and The Thing.
Yikes.
Can I just say that I LOVE They Live and am not exactly thrilled to see it remade. I can't imagine anything good coming from this.
