Blu-Ray Review and Giveaway: Toy Story and Toy Story 2!

Arriving at last on Blu-ray are the Pixar classics Toy Story and Toy Story 2!

These films are probably two of the most anticipated releases on the format and you can finally own them tomorrow, March 23!

Let's have a rundown on the special features:

Toy Story: Toy Story 3 Sneak Peak: "The Story", Buzz Lightyear Mission Logs: Blast Off, 3 Animated Studio Stories, Buzz Takes Manhattan, Making Toy Story, Filmmakers Reflect, Deleted Scenes & Design Galleries, and over 90 minutes more bonus! Plus a DVD version of the film with the bonus features

Toy Story 2: Toy Story 3 Sneak Peak: "The Characters", Buzz Lightyear Mission Logs: International Space Station, 3 Animated Studio Stories, Pixar's Zoetrope, Making Toy Story 2, Toy Box: Outtakes & Alternate Scenes, Deleted Scenes & Design Galleries, and over 60 minutes more! Plus, a DVD version of the film and bonuses.

I'm sure by now you know we're pretty big Pixar fans at PCB and as such, we've been extremely excited for the release of the Toy Story films on Blu-ray.  At last they're here with plenty of time to revisit before the third entry in the franchise releases in June .

I can go through and tell you just how gorgeous these films look on Blu-ray but you can probably imagine right?  Stunning really.  The colors are beautiful and the films have never looked better.  Seeing Toy Story on Blu-ray is like seeing it for the first time.  That sense of awe and wonder is still there. The releases are supplemented with great features making them well worth the pretty good $25 price tag.

Like I said, the film looks and sounds great. The heart and charm of both films really shines through and I must admit that Sarah McLachlan song still gets me teary.

Purchasing these films is a certain no brainer and are pretty much must haves for any fan of animation or Pixar.  These are bar setting films that are just as funny and charming today as they were fifteen years ago when they were first released.
