BLOG ZINE! God vs. Cat Puke

God 151 is a great execution of an interesting idea. The premise is that there are a bunch of different Gods (in the sense of the white bearded dude), and they're all named by number. The one who rules over Earth happens to be God 151. So, we hear about life and a lot of stuff from the perspective of God 151 and the people who he inhabits. Or however God works (mysterious ways, right?!). He also talks a lot about his gluten-free diet and having satisfying bowel movements the size of a baby's arm. He expresses some of this in poo haiku. Chris from Trinket (click for review) wrote about bowel movements, too. I get it about it, but I don't get talking about it. That's not a criticism, but an observation regarding a conversational preference. You do poo.

The zine is satisfyingly long, but almost kind of overwhelmingly long if you're the breezy-reader type. But it's a good chunk of writing, and whatever he's charging for it, you should probably pay.

That's all I can tell you about God 151, because my cat puked on it before I could finish reading it or take notes. So you can see that his poo imagery is particularly memorable. Maybe because I was reading it in the bathroom? Finally, the cat decides to puke in the bathroom instead of on the living room rug, and it's sploosh all over this zine I'm trying to enjoy.

This review might piss off the author in the sense that I don't have any of his contact information to publish. And probably also in the sense that his work was vomited on. I'm sorry for my loss. It was God's will. Maybe someone will help me out, or send me a fresh copy. It's really going to make you smile at least a few times, and I'd like to do it justice.

P.S. Sorry about all the bodily functions in this review. It's been one of those weeks. Shit happens.
