Music Review: Rod Stewart "Gasoline Alley" Deluxe Vinyl Replica CD

Rod Stewart's 2nd solo album "Gasoline Alley" has just been given an amazing sound upgrade courtesy of the Culture Factory USA reissue label.

Culture Factory USA releases limited quantities of all their releases making them truly collectable.  Each title is packaged in the "mini LP" replica format.  Sure we've all seen these before.  Some a cheaply constructed, some don't include all the artwork and elements from the original album release etc, etc etc…

Well fear not because Culture Factory USA turns their releases up to 11!  Every single aspect of the packaging is pristine.  "Gasoline Alley" is housed in one of the sturdiest mini LP jackets I have ever held in my hot little hands.  It includes all the artwork, original gatefold cover and the front is embossed just like the LP you owned in your youth.

So now you are probably wondering if the sound quality is as good as the packaging?  Well I can tell you it is!  As a matter of fact… the remastering is quite possibly the best I have ever heard!!

I "A-B'ed" this release back to back with the Mercury Remastered version from 1998 and there is absolutely no comparison.  The sound on the Culture Factory USA is simply amazing.  If all reissues sounded this good then people would finally stop talking about "the warmth of vinyl."  You also get the addition of a bonus track in the form of "It's All Over Now" (single version).

Since listening to "Gasoline Alley" I have sought out other titles via Culture Factory USA and every single one is a revelation in sound reproduction.

If there's even 1 title on their website that you love but already own I can tell you that it is definitely worth your money to upgrade that title and upgrade it today!

Drumroll please…

10 out of 10 drumsticks!!!
