New @NeonTrees Album #PopPsychology Out Now!

Just hanging brain; NBD.
I'm a pretty big fan of Neon Trees, ever since they came out with hits like "Animal" and "1983" (Habits), then they went on tour with Owl City and Maroon 5 while the song "Everybody Talks" (Picture Show) was on everybody's radio.  It was a good time had by all.  Let's see if those good times can keep going with NT's newest outing, Pop Psychology!  Check below the jump for thoughts and tour dates!!

This newest album is as far from false advertisement as you can get; this thing is called Pop Psychology, and every single track is a step into poppy goodness.  It encompasses every kind of pop song foundation in the book: being a teenager, banging, falling in love and more banging.  If you go into the history of pop music (talkin' 'bout!), you'll see these themes pop up again and again.  So these guys have done their research,  The most ethereal song on the album is "Voices in the Halls", which has a pretty dope beat; remixed by the right disc jockey, and you have an electronica/club hit that will last for years.  Watch out Daft Punk!

Some of my other personal favorites include "Foolish Behavior", "Text Me in the Morning" and "I Love You (But I Hate Your Friends)".  Although pop is nothing new, no one is requesting musicians re-invent the wheel.  If you're able to come out with a fun, energetic and consistent set of tunes, I feel like you've done a good job.  Neon Trees has done this, and I applaud them for it!!

Pick up a copy through Amazon.com now ($9.99 CD / $7.99 MP3)!!

My Final Rating of Neon Trees' Pop Psychology
8 out of 10 Noble Gases!
