DVD Review - "JLA Adventures: Trapped In Time"

If you are looking for some good old-fashioned superhero fun then "JLA Adventures: Trapped In Time" is the film for you.

DC Direct has made a name for itself with it's direct to home video market releases with titles such as "Batman: The Dark Knight Returns" and " Justice League: DOOM."  While all those titles are rated PG-13 and are geared more towards late teens and adults, "JLA Adventures: Trapped In Time" can be enjoyed by the entire family.

Kids will get a kick out of Robin's smart aleck quips while adults will love seeing their favorite iconic heroes on screen kicking some bad guy butt.  The animation is not as detailed as in other DC Direct titles but it is far better than the Saturday morning cartoons from the 70's.

Diedrich Bader returns as the voice of Batman, a role he played for 3 seasons on the TV series "Batman: The Brave and the Bold," and adds the perfect balance of comedy and drama.

With a running time of just under an hour "JLA Adventures: Trapped In Time" feels more like a pilot episode for an upcoming series than a feature film but if that's the case I look forward to more adventures from the Justice League.

Drumroll please... 7 out of 10 drumsticks!!!
