Box Office Round Up

As expected, Hannah Montana The Movie topped the holiday box office this weekend scoring a haul of $34 Million. Dragonball Evolution opened at #8 with just over $4.5 million and Seth Rogen's Observe and Report came in at #4 making over $11 Million. You're going to hear people saying this does not bode well for the movie or that it is a bomb, but the film had a budget of $18 million so it is on it's way to profit. I wouldn't be so quick to call it a bomb.

This trailer took the mild interest I had in seeing this movie to a solid "No thanks."

Expected Superbowl Movie Commercials

For me, the only reason to watch the Superbowl is for the commercials. In recent years, they've been terrible.

This year the crop of films advertising during the big game are a bit more interesting.

Confirmed films are "Angels and Demons," "Fast and Furious," "G.I. Joe," "Land of the Lost," "Monsters vs. Aliens," "Star Trek," "Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen" and "Up" with "Wolverine" and "Race To Witch Mountain" expected to be added soon.

I'll Tivo it so I can fast forward to the commercials!

Fast & Furious Trailer

The gangs all here for the fourth installment of the Fast and the Furious franchise. This time the title is shortened to Fast & Furious and has quite a clever tagline: New Model, Original Parts.

Note: Unfortunately Myspace Embed codes are apparently not compatible with blogger so until it shows up on YouTube, you can see it here.

What do you think? I kinda wanna see it. Does that make me a bad person?
