It's hard to believe that Billy Joel hasn't recorded a pop/rock album since 1993's "River Of Dreams" but that's okay because the piano man has left the world with one of the best musical catalogues of any singer/songwriter in history.
During his recording career Joel gave us 12 studio albums containing 33 top 40 hits with 13 of those scoring top 10 status and 3 of those going all the way to #1. Those are pretty impressive for figures for a 22 year span.
Now 21 years after his last studio album, Columbia Records and Legacy Recordings have released the entire Billy Joel catalogue remastered for iTunes. 15 albums in all including "Collected Additional Masters" comprised of rarities, b-sides and bonus tracks and other non-album tracks.
The new masters sound better than any previous versions of these classic albums and listening to these songs through earbuds or iPod docking station is like hearing Billy Joel for the first time.
