Your Favorite Movies Are Slot Machines.

Gambling is big business and so are movies so for a long time now these two worlds have been joining forces to bring players to the slot machines.

You have casinos all over the world using popular hollywood films to lure players to their machines. Singapore casino games, Vegas casino games, Monte Carlo casino games, you name it and your favorite movies are there.

Most of these film based games are penny and nickel slots so I don't often get to play them. I prefer high roller slot machines like quarters and dollars. Plus I usually stick to the Wheel of Fortune slots.

Here are a few interesting movie based slot machines for your enjoyment.

First up, this monster machine for James Cameron's Avatar!

I wonder if it's in 3D?

Comic movies are not to be left out in the cold.  Here is a look at an Iron Man branded machine!

If you show it your Iron Man 2 ticket stub you get a free spin. (just kidding.) (maybe.)

Next up one of the greatest movies of all time (if you ask me anyway). JAWS!

Make sure you do not play the Jaws: The Revenge machine as that one just takes your money and slaps you across the face.

James Cameron gets double representation here as one of his greatest movies, and one of the best action films ever, gets the slot treatment.  Check out a screen from the Terminator 2 slot!

You'll be back to feed it more money I bet.

Oh look, even classic Batman gets a slot machine!

Where's Burt Ward?

Finally, for the kid who likes to gamble, the candy man himself, the Wonka slot.

I wonder if it gives you candy if you win?  That might anger some folks.

That's all folks. I hope you liked our little diversion here.  I love movies and I love slot machines so I might have to hit a few of these up next time I am Vegas bound.

Before we go, how about a bonus look at someone winning a jackpot on a Clue based slot! I'll be honest, I have no idea what is happening in this video.

Marvel Releases Official Plots for Thor 2 and Iron Man 3!

At last, Marvel has dropped upon us the official synopsis's for the upcoming sequels to Thor and Iron Man.  They're relatively spoiler free so feel safe in reading on:

Iron Man 3:

Marvel Studios’ Iron Man 3 pits brash-but-brilliant industrialist Tony Stark/Iron Man against an enemy whose reach knows no bounds. When Stark finds his personal world destroyed at his enemy’s hands, he embarks on a harrowing quest to find those responsible. This journey, at every turn, will test his mettle. With his back against the wall, Stark is left to survive by his own devices, relying on his ingenuity and instincts to protect those closest to him. As he fights his way back, Stark discovers the answer to the question that has secretly haunted him: does the man make the suit or does the suit make the man?

Thor:  The Dark World

Marvel’s Thor: The Dark World continues the big-screen adventures of Thor, the Mighty Avenger, as he battles to save Earth and all the Nine Realms from a shadowy enemy that predates the universe itself. In the aftermath of Marvel’s Thor and Marvel’s The Avengers, Thor fights to restore order across the cosmos…but an ancient race led by the vengeful Malekith returns to plunge the universe back into darkness. Faced with an enemy that even Odin and Asgard cannot withstand, Thor must embark on his most perilous and personal journey yet, one that will reunite him with Jane Foster and force him to sacrifice everything to save us all.

They sound pretty intense.

Iron Man 3-D?

Reports are swirling that Paramount and Marvel are looking to convert Iron Man and Iron Man 2 into 3-D.

Can this trend just die already?

Not to mention news that hack extraordinaire (who is admittedly responsible for ONE good movie) Paul W.S. Anderson is looking to remake Three Musketeers in 3-D. THREE MUSKETEERS?!

Come on Hollywood, let's get back to making consistantly good movies instead of putting mediocre films and unnecessary remakes in 3-D.

Does Iron Man have his new Villains?

Various trades are reporting that Mickey Rourke and Sam Rockwell are in talks to play the villians in the Jon Favreau directed, Justin Theroux scripted sequel to last years blockbuster Iron Man.

It's being reported that Rourke is up for a tattooed Russian named Ivan with deadly, technologically enhanced coils, or Crimson Dynamo.

Rockwell is up for Justin Hammer, a multibillionaire businessman and a rival of industrialist Tony Stark.
Iron Man 2 hits theaters on May 7, 2010.

HI Don! Bye Terrence!

Hollywood Reporter is er...reporting that Terrence Howard is out of the upcoming Iron Man sequel and is being replaced by Don Cheadle! Now, I do like both of these actors a great deal, especially Don Cheadle so either of them would be great to see in the role. I really liked Howard as Jim Rhodes though and was looking forward to seeing him take on War Machine.

Apparently, the recasting came as a result of financial differences which means Howard wanted too much money. You're not that big of a star Mr. Howard, you shouldn't let giant blockbusters slip through your fingers...now look what happened, a better more well known actor got your part. Don't fret, you can always sing? That's working out well for you right? Right?

The USPS has put their second line of super hero postage stamps for sale, this time featuring Marvel Universe characters.

If you still live in the archaic world of snail mail, or just a die hard collector, these are definitely worth the trouble of waiting in those long lines at the post office.
