Ellen DeGeneres Crashes Twitter with (Record-Setting?) Oscars Selfie!

Trying to log into your Twitter account and you're getting the "Something Is Technically Wrong" message? That clumsy robot hasn't just screwed it up for you--Ellen DeGeneres has crashed Twitter with an Oscars mass-celebrity-selfie taken from her tablet in the theater aisle during the show! She was trying to achieve the most-retweeted photo in Twitter history. 

According to downrightnow.com, Twitter has been experiencing a "likely service disruption" since shortly after the photo was posted.

You can't see it on Twitter right now, but the celebrity-studded photo features the likes of Jennifer Lawrence, Meryl Streep, Julia Roberts, Bradley Cooper, Brad Pitt, and Ellen herself.

OP/ED - Miley Cyrus Is A Terrible Person. Boycott This Weekend's Saturday Night Live!

You know, I was of mixed minds about this whole Miley Cyrus controversy. On the one hand, I'm kind of bored with hyper-sexualized imagery everywhere everywhere everywhere. Isn't that what internet porn is for? Do we need to have sex in every aspect of everything? Can't we just have a conversation?

On the other side, I was like, well, this chick's like 20 years old. She's exploring life and sexuality, and she has a hot little body to go along with it. That shit doesn't last forever. Do it to it, girl.

So when Sinead O'Connor wrote her first open letter to Miley, I understood O'Connor's side, but I also felt that she didn't respect Miley's agency enough. The world is a different place than it was when Sinead O'Connor was first taking the stage, and I don't think she should judge a woman for her choices. Even back then, I don't think it would have been right to do so.

But, O'Connor's concern as a woman who has lived some life was obvious. There was some advice to take, and some advice to leave. I thought it was, overall, a nice thing to do.

But then did you see Miley's response? I am no longer on Miley Cyrus' side.

Hannah Montana has not, in fact, grown up.

Jimmy Kimmel Had It Right About Kanye. Sorry, Slate

So Kanye West is having a Twitter tantrum because Jimmy Kimmel ran a parody skit depicting him in his recent BBC interview as a child. And this guy, Forrest Wickman from Slate, is stepping up to defend him, calling Kimmel's sketch "ignorant and stupid."

On the first listen, I don't like this album.  Does the Twitterverse agree?

Lisa Lampanelli Stand-up Comedy Review

Last night, I went and saw Lisa Lampanelli in Pittsburgh. My girlfriend is a huge fan, but to be honest, I had only ever seen her on the Comedy Central Roasts. I wasn't sure what I was getting into, however I was pleasantly surprised and found myself laughing harder than I had ever imagined.

She told lots of stories about her tweets to Zsa Zsa Gabor and Clay Aiken, her time on Celebrity Apprentice with Donald Trump and Lou Ferrigno, the jokes cut from the Comedy Central Roasts, her marriage to "Jimmy Big Balls," and her recent weight loss.

Of course, the infamous insult comic's stories were peppered with poetic profanity and stereotypes, which made them even funnier. Her crowd work was hysterical! Not even the sign language interpreters were safe from Lampanelli's quick wit and foul mouth!

This show was a home run and Lisa Lampanelli was absolutely hysterical! If you get the chance, definitely go see her.
